⚠️ Important Update for HGV Operators: Brake Testing Standards Have Changed
New guidance around Roller Brake Testing (RBT) for HGVs has revealed serious concerns across the industry. Many operators are being misinformed by garages and dealerships, receiving PASS results that are technically non-compliant.
This means your PMI (Preventative Maintenance Inspection) may be marked as roadworthy when it’s not—putting your fleet, your O-license, and your reputation at risk.
We can review your brake test reports and PMI records to ensure full compliance before issues are picked up in an audit or Public Inquiry.
Contact us today to arrange a professional review of your vehicle records.

Local Bridge Strike Febuary 2023
Two minutes from our office, this happens. No one was hurt luckily but the lorry driver and operator will have a lot of explaining to do in due course.
In this case, part of the load got caught underneath the bridge thus forcing the load from its tie down points. The road was closed for about three hours whilst they had to get heavy lifting equipment to raise the dislodged load. As I walk this route to town, I can count the number of lorries that have had to stop and back up causing a right issue with the local traffic but at least they have not hit the bridge. Luckily no one was hurt in this accident as it could have been worse.

After a weekend of overseeing PMIs, on the journey home I saw this Polish plated truck with no left rear light on. Ten minutes later I came across another truck with its reverse lights permanently on, also on a Polish truck!
